Exersaucer and Doorway Jumper

Saturday night (July 30th) we put you in the exersaucer and doorway jumper for the 1st time. I am willing to try just about anything to make you happy and give me a few minutes with BOTH hands free! 

The exersaucer is so cute. You sit in it and stare at the TV, watch brother or look at the toys on the exersaucer that Parker moves for you. You can't reach them just yet. I put a pillow under your feet so they don't dangle.

The doorway jumper is still a bit advanced for you but you have figured out how to spin yourself in circles! I've got to keep a CLOSE eye on you while you're in it because Parker thinks it's a swing and has so graciously pushed you in it a time or two. Bless his heart, he means well.

You and your brother are our heartbeats! You're growing SOOO fast and we just love each day with you!

Bumbo

Today, July 27th, you sat in the Bumbo for the 1st time! You sat there for about 15 minutes and loved it! You giggled and watched TV while mommy put up dishes.

First Swim

You went for your first swim last week. You were 11 weeks old. You've been to the pool MANY times but you usually nap in your car seat or the wagon with your fan. You tolerated it OK. Your 2nd and 3rd swim this week have been much more successful.

The water was close to sauna hot so I'm guessing this frown is because your hat doesn't match your swim suit.

Officially upset!

After our swim, we went on a boat ride so brother could hunt for ducks. You were much more content lounging on the boat!

Giggle Monster

I am apparently HILARIOUS because you just giggle up a storm when I play with you!

 `You've recently become very interested in toys. It's fun to watch you focus on objects and react to them!

Today you pulled your little jiggly toy for the first time. When it started to sing you were shocked. It was precious!

Happy 2 Month Birthday, Avery!

Somehow, you're 2 months old already! 

You are beautiful! Your smile lights up a room! You laughed for the very first time on your 2nd month birthday, July 5, 2011 and it made my day! Clearly, you think I'm funny... or funny looking. :)

 You wear size 1 diapers but we'll be going to size 2 soon! Most of your clothes are 0-3 months but you wear some 3-6 as well! You have at least 50 bows now of various colors and sizes. You tolerate love them. You sleep pretty well. You usually nurse around 10:30 and sleep until 2:30, nurse again, wake up between 5-6am, nurse again and sleep until brother wakes us up around 7.

 Your personality is as bright as your beautiful red hair! You smile big and cry hard. When you're hungry, I think the neighbors also know but when you're happy, the world is sunnier! You like to be talked to, sung to and bounced around. You do not like sleeping laying down and prefer to sleep in your car seat or while being held. You are insanely strong and are almost holding your head up 100% of the time. Lately, I've been bathing you and your brother together and you lay in your seat and kick your legs constantly. You seem to love the water like he does.

 You went to Charleston for the 1st time last week and were a spectacular car rider! You slept both ways! Your godmother, Tabitha, watched you while Anna and I took Parker and Lily to the beach. You were just a bit too small for the beach this trip!

 You REALLY dislike taking your monthly pictures. It's taken 2 attempts for month 1 and month 2! This was the best I got and it doesn't include your special Avery doll! Bummer!

You go to the doctor on Friday and I can't wait to see how big you are! I'm betting at least 11lbs. You're an eater. I swear you'd eat human food if I'd let you. You wake up and cry EVERY time I put you down so I can eat.

You are so fun! I love to dress you! You are the sweetest cuddler and grab my hair and hold on tight when you know I'm about to put you down so I can accomplish household task. Currently, the computer is propped up on a pillow and you're asleep in my arms while I type. It takes twice as long but it's totally worth it! You and your brother are my heartbeats! I love you, Avery Madison Wise!
