For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. Psalms 139: 13&14

37 Weeks!

How far along: 37 weeks 1 day. HOWEVER.... your eviction notice has been officially served, little lady! 11 days! I'm being induced May 4th since the doctors FINALLY agree that you're actually 38 weeks and 1 day. I knew you were not conceived on my girl's beach trip! haha

Maternity clothes: Pretty much all of the time except for yoga pants or my tennis skirts and running shorts. Those are low enough to still fit with a maternity tank.

Sleep: Getting tougher. I get up 2-3 times a night to use the bathroom and I wake up still tired and in pain. My body aches!

Best moment this week
: Getting an official induction date! May 4th!!!!!

Movement : Less movement but when you do it's painful. My sciatic nerve has been bothering me terribly this week as you've settled nice and low!

Cravings:
I've lost my appetite but I'm still enjoying popsicles and frozen strawberry lemonade.

Gender:
GIRL! Avery Madison Wise!

Labor Signs
:You've dropped nice and low according to the doctor! I'm not dilating yet but I've had a lot of random contractions since then so hopefully we've made progress!

Belly Button in our out?
Grossly out. Parker keeps trying to push it in.

What I miss
: Not being in pain... I'd like my body back!

What am I looking forward to? This week I'm oddly interested in your hair. I'm excited to see if you have any. If you do, is it blond? brown? OR..... red?!!!! I don't know why but the last few days I've started to think you may be a red head like your poppi. There's a good chance!

We are ready for you, little lady!
Your bag is packed!
The bag contains 6 outfits/sleepers and 14 bows.... should be sufficient.
Your car seat is now in the car. Fully equipped with your brand new car seat canopy I made yesterday! We don't need germy hands all over you! It will also be handy for when it's raining, when you're sleeping, keeping the sun off of you or the old ladies in Harris Teeter on senior citizen day from touching you in the meat isle after touching chicken. The thought makes me sick.
Yes, the bows were necessary
We have diapers stacked to the ceiling of your closet thanks to all of mommy's awesome friends who blessed us with these!
Have I mentioned that I should be the spokeswoman for Target brand diapers? LOVE THEM!
Your closet is full of precious clothes. Don't fret. They go further to the right and left. These are only your newborn-6 month clothes. The rest are packed away for later! Girl's gotta have an outfit a day, right!?
I am so proud that your closet contains more than various shades of pink! I did; however, just email daddy an email with the subject line of "hint hint." I think we need a hot pink moby wrap. What do you think? Girl's gotta ride in style!

SOOOO........ as you can see.... we're ready. Your stuff is ready, my bag is ready and my body is BEYOND READY!!!!! Let's get this show on the road, baby girl. How about tomorrow? I'd love an Easter bunny!

36 weeks

How far along: 36 weeks! We still have a c-section scheduled for May 9th and we'll be scheduling an induction date before then when the doctor says you're ready! Of course, we'd much rather you come naturally, on your own before then! Less then 24 days until you come! YAY! The doctors say you're measuring at 37 weeks!

Maternity clothes: Pretty much all of the time. Today I'm wearing maternity bermuda shorts and a green and white stripe tank top.

Sleep: Well this week but I wake up in pain.

Best moment this week
: I got all of the baby gear out of the attic and cleaned it. We're ready for you!

Movement : You dropped more. I continue to feel you a TON but less kicks and more squirms now!

Cravings:
Popsicles.

Gender:
GIRL! Avery Madison Wise!

Labor Signs
: A few contractions here and there and you've dropped a lot!

Belly Button in our out?
Definitely OUT!

What I miss
: shaving easily and my feet not hurting/swelling

What am I looking forward to? Snuggling with you on my chest at night after Parker goes to bed. That will be our special cuddle time!

Once again, I failed to get a picture of you and I this week! I had ample opportunity today as I had my camera around my neck most of the day, snapping photos of aunt Kelly sky diving but forgot to ask anyone to take a few of us on my camera. Nana and Kelly should have 1 or two on theirs so hopefully they post them and I can steal them.

I did make you some cute burp clothes and two sleep sacks. What do you think?
I'm planning to add a bow on the stem of the lollipop
Bad picture but you get the general idea.
SUPER bad picture but it's cute in person. I swear it isn't crocked! I obviously didn't lay it straight. Time for new contacts?

We walked today for an hour. Parker and Lily had a date in the double stroller while Anna and I walked and talked. It's so much easier to get in a good walk when I'm entertained! Hopefully, this will help kick start your APRIL arrival! Love you, baby girl!

April Baby?

Okay, Miss Avery... time for a little chat. You will officially be here in 25 days or less! YAY!!! Your c-section is scheduled for May 9th but we're hoping you come on your own before then. Let's talk dates... I did the math.... if you come in April (and we're out of the hospital before May) you're about a $1,500 baby. If; however, you're stubborn and come in May, you'll be about a $10,000 baby. So I'm thinking April? What about you?! haha. Not that you aren't 100% worth every penny of $10,000, just think about how many more cute clothes/pennies in your college fund you could have if you opt to be a $1,500 baby! Deal? Oh insurance.... sometimes being an adult is no fun! Deductibles, co-insurance, blah blah blah... enjoy your childhood, baby girl!

I'm doing my best to make that (April birthday) happen. Parker and I are team "Get Avery the heck out of my body" and started our mega walks today. Too bad mega walks are now based on walking around people's houses I know so I can make potty breaks! We put on our hats and sunglasses today and headed out for a nice long walk/stroller ride to get you movin'! I hope it works... in April!

Today I nested. I got ALL of your baby gear out from the attic, cleaned it and set it up. Parker helped me set up the bassinet/pack n play and wanted to play in it SOOO badly. I told him "no" and went to find the sheet. I came back to this:
Little booger used my hospital luggage as leverage and climbed up in it. he found a paci in the mesh pocket and it escalated from there. He sat in that pack n play for almost an hour and wanted so badly to nap in it today! I didn't let him but if he had his way, you two would be bunk mates!
If sitting in the pack n play makes him this sleepy, he can sleep here every day! haha

We're officially ready for you. I made you two sleep sacks today (pictures to come of that) and all of your gear is out and cleaned! The pack n play is up, with the bassinet level and changing table. The swing is out (but needs batteries). The bouncer is out (and subsequently put back up after watching Parker pull it to the floor and let it go. It would sling shot you!) and the bottles/pump is clean and ready! We can't wait to meet you... in April, please!!!!

35 Weeks!

How far along: 35 weeks 2 days! We still have a c-section scheduled for May 9th and we'll be scheduling an induction date before then when the doctor says you're ready! Of course, we'd much rather you come naturally, on your own before then!

Maternity clothes: Most days. This morning I'm still in my jammies (daddy's shirt and my jammie bottoms) , sitting on the toilet blogging while Parker bathes. He had a little accident this morning so straight to the tub he went!

Sleep: Getting tougher. I get up 2-3 times a night to use the bathroom and I wake up still tired and in pain. My body aches!

Best moment this week
: We enjoyed a fun 1 1/2 at nana and poppi's. We shopped, ate, played, got new brakes on the car, went to Carolina Cones (YUMMY!) and had a blast!

Movement : Lots of hiccups and squirms. You've definitely dropped some.

Cravings:
Apparently all things cold and icy. I went to the grocery store yesterday and left with Popsicles, ice cream, frozen lemonade, Italian ice, milk, bananas and paper towels. WHOOPS.

Gender:
GIRL! Avery Madison Wise!

Labor Signs
: A few contractions here and there and you've dropped a lot!

Belly Button in our out?
I'm going to go with OUT!

What I miss
: shaving easily and my feet not hurting/swelling

What am I looking forward to? Seeing how your big brother interacts with you. He's started to point to my belly and say "baby" but when asked if you're a boy or a girl he says "dog." I can't wait to see if he's jealous or indifferent. I think indifferent may be the best case scenario as I'm pretty sure he isn't going to love the idea of you at first (especially if you aren't a dog) but he'll learn to accept you and love you once he figures out he's still loved and important too!

34 Weeks!

How far along: 34 weeks! Originally, we had scheduled an induction date of May 4th and a c-section date of May 9th. I thought going to the hospital and leaving without you sounded silly and they won't do a c-section earlier than May 7th so we decided to scratch that plan! We kept the c-section date of May 9th and we'll just hope you come on your own before then! :) I've learned with babies, plans change quickly. We may schedule another induction date once we get closer to date and if the doctor feels you're ready to come. We'll see! You'll come when you come!
Maternity clothes: Today I am a vision (I feel like I start all of my weekly post with that line these days!) I am in maternity yoga pants and a pajama top that I bought to take to the hospital (with matching capri's) They aren't maternity but they are super soft and stretchy. Apparently, I was too tired/lazy to put the entire pajama set on last night so instead I kept the yoga pants I was wearing on and threw on the PJ top. Vision... let me tell you. I may considering showering sometime today and putting on makeup. We shall see.
Sleep: I'm up once to twice a night now to use the potty but other than that, still great!
Best moment this week:. I nested some. I made you 3 precious bibs, a sleep sack thingy and bought (cause I'm running out to time!) 2 adorable, soft, handmade minky baby blankets. I hope you love them!
Movement: A bit more this week but the movements are different. Less punches and more squirms.
Cravings: I indulged in a virgin pina colada and a caramel apple this week that were delish!
Gender: GIRL! Avery Madison Wise!
Labor Signs: Nope! I have had a few random contractions but I've tried to lay low this week since most everyone who could take care of Parker while I'm in labor was out of town. We couldn't risk you coming!
Belly Button in our out? I'm going to go with OUT!
What I miss: Margaritas on the patio in the sun/sitting up or shaving easily
What am I looking forward to? Seeing you in all these precious clothes/baby gear we've accumulated! We're planning to take your brother to Carowinds tomorrow to ride the kiddie rides and since I'll be chilling out watching anyways, I would love for you to be here to hang with me! I look forward to days when we do stuff as a family even if it means sometimes we're hanging on the sidelines! :)
Here is a sneak peek of one of the blankets I had made for you! I bet you can guess what the material of the other one is! I had the designer change the coordinating minky and trim on the other one so I don't want to post a picture because you'd think I have bad taste. :)

I KNOW I could make these blankets but I kinda feel I'm running short on time to get all of the etsy, Rompers and Ruffles and custom orders done before you get here and I definitely want to have at least one of "your" blankets with us at the hospital. I'm pretty excited about them :)

Alrighty, love, stay in a bit longer, please but not TOO long. 38ish weeks would be great for me (and our insurance company). Love you to pieces!!!!
