For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. Psalms 139: 13&14

15 weeks

Finally a baby bump to take a picture of!

How far along: 15 weeks, 1 day\

Total weight gain/loss: +1 pound. I have had an appetite like NEVER before this week! I'm hungry constantly!
Maternity clothes: Not yet but if this eating keeps up I'm sure it will be soon! I did wear a pair of maternity yoga pants the other day because I needed to do laundry. They were SO cozy but WAY too big!
Sleep: We've been sleeping amazingly! We even went to sleep at 8:45 on Thursday and slept until 8am!
Best moment this week: I felt you rolling around twice this week!
Movement: Twice I felt you tumbling around. It was very sweet!
Cravings: No cravings but Qdoba sounds tasty and so does homestyle chicken noodle soup. I don't HAVE to have them but they sound pretty appealing!
Gender: GIRL!
Labor Signs: No. Thank the Lord!
Belly Button in our out? In!
What I miss: Not having daily headaches.
What am I looking forward to? Getting in the nap nanny! It was supposed to be here this week but UPS lost it so diapers.com sent another AND gave me a $20 credit! AMAZING customer service!
Milestones: Feeling you move.

Lets, see, according to the baby center week by week site, you're an APPLE (hopefully a delicious, plump honeycrisp one)! You are about 4 inches long and weigh 2 1/2 ounces. Go you! Keep up the great growing!

I've been making bows and burp cloths. They're turning out SOOO cute! I can't wait for you to puke on them! At least you'll be puking in style! This week, I went to Hobby Lobby and bought lots of ribbon, headbands, hair clips and more fabric to make more bibs, bows, onesies and burp clothes for you! I've been so pleased with how they're turning out!
This also came in the mail for you today! I'm in love! (of course yours says "A")
 Love you, little lady!

Hello 2nd Trimester!

How far along: 14 weeks, 1 day
Total weight gain/loss: Still -1 lbs.... but not for lack of trying! We've been enjoying coffee ice cream with sprinkles frequently lately but we've been counteracting it with LOTS of walks!
Maternity clothes: Not yet!
Sleep: We've made it all the way through the night for 3 nights in a row! WOO HOO!
Best moment this week: Baby girl stuff shopping
Movement: You're moving all around but I don't feel it yet.
Cravings: No cravings but I have gone to the grocery store hungry a lot lately which means I've bought some pretty random things.
Gender: GIRL!
Labor Signs: No. Thank the Lord!
Belly Button in our out? In!
What I miss: Still margaritas and not having to always ask about the cheese dip.
What am I looking forward to? Getting in my new online purchases for you!
Milestones: Hitting the 2nd trimester!

According to the weekly baby center emails, you can now squint, frown, grimace (which I hope you aren't doing!), pee and suck your thumb. Congratulations on your latest accomplishments! The site also says you're 3 1/2 inches but I bet your bigger than that since you were 3 1/4 inches at your ultrasound. This week, apparently you're the size of a lemon. :)

My energy is coming back and I've very much enjoyed getting out and walking. We've walked the 4 mile creek greenway a few times this week. It feels SO good to get out and be active!

I've done lots of baby prep this week! Your bedding is purchased and being made. Your car seat cover material has been purchased but I haven't contacted the seamstress yet. My friend (and Parker's godmother), Tabitha, made you a precious little beanie for when you're a newborn. It's ADORABLE! I also found this one and had to have it for you for pictures.

I can already envision you naked, in a basket, wrapped in a fluffy blanket, asleep, with this beanie on. THEN I can frame it on your wall because it matches your bedding! How smart is mommy?

I also splurged this week on something I REALLY REALLY wanted for you. A Nap Nanny! I explained how amazing these little things are and daddy was sold. You see, Parker would ONLY sleep at an angle and we spent many sleepless nights trying to prop him up so he would sleep. As an infant, he would only nap if he was held and that just isn't going to fly this time around with you and a toddler! Every mom I know who has one loves it! (No worries other mommy friends... I've read the reviews and I know how and when to use it... I'm also aware of the recall and this one is the 2nd generation version). Anyways, I hope you love it because I love the idea of it. I scored this one on eBay new for $50 less than in the store so I was pleased.
 Love you bunches, baby girl!

Paisley, paisley everywhere!

I sure hope you like paisley because mommy went a little paisley crazy today. You're going to spend a lot of time looking at it! I am SOOO excited. You will soon find out that I am the baby gear/bedding research QUEEN. So, when the best of the best baby bedding seller on etsy had 1 more opening this year, I jumped at the opportunity for her to make you a custom bedding set. She's having a baby of her own soon and is closing shop for a while. We've worked together to create a precious set and I'm just trilled about it! Aren't we lucky girls!?!

I would make your bedding but she's REALLY reasonable and her work is SO professional looking. I just couldn't compete with that. I'll still make your window treatments and blanket but shes making your bumpers (I know the SIDS stats..... they're cute....and keep their limbs in... I like them), crib skirt and crib sheet. I can't wait to see them in 8 weeks. (even though they'll go in storage for a while unless your brother suddenly desires to sleep in his big boy bed)

The material is SOOO cute that your car seat cover is also going to be made out of the same material! That way it all looks nice in your room. PLUS, it's a fun, stimulating pattern. Hopefully it keeps your attention better than your brother's brown car seat canopy. He was not a happy infant car seat rider.

Here are pictures of the 2 main fabrics. Cream minky dot will also be used.

Your dad is also pretty excited about this set. For a few reasons actually. 1. We don't have to paint the room. It matched the funky green already on the walls (that I love!) 2. I'll stop researching and asking him "what do you think about this one?" 3. He's a stickler for quality. 4. Every now and then, he likes to make me super happy and he knows the way to do that is usually to tell me "yes." :)

You've got a good daddy and I have a feeling you already have him in the palm of your tiny hand! We love you so much!

13 Weeks!

Your due date got changed a bit since measuring you this week during the ultrasound. That means yesterday, you turned 13 weeks old! YAY!  Mommy is SUPER sleepy tonight so this is going to be a short post.

How far along: 13 weeks, 1 day
Total weight gain/loss: Now I'm down 1 lb since my starting weight. Not for lack of trying though! I've indulged most of what you/I want!
Maternity clothes: Nope but my new ruched Japanese Weekend top came in so now I want to grow a belly to wear it.
Sleep: Once to pee.... sometimes more if Parker is having a rough night.
Best moment this week: Ultrasound!
Movement: You move a lot but I learned your placenta is on top so I won't feel you for a bit longer.
Cravings: Cheesecake. I made daddy go get it and it was gross. He wasn't pleased.
Gender: GIRL! 90% (but I've already bought lots of stuff soooo...... that 10% is killing me)
Labor Signs: No. Thank the Lord!
Belly Button in our out? In!
What I miss: Still margaritas.
What am I looking forward to? Having your car seat cover made. I bought the material tonight and it's to die for!
Milestones: Finding out you're a girl!!!!

I'm sure you've grown so many new, cool body parts this week but I haven't quite looked it up yet. Seriously, I'll be pleased if this post makes sense I'm SOOO tired! Anna, my friend, gave me a DVD called "Inside the Womb" I plan to watch tomorrow. That should be cool.... or creepy.... I'll let ya know. Love you, baby girl!

It's a..........

GIRL!!!!!!!!! Today we had an ultrasound and the doctor and tech agreed their 90% sure you're a GIRL! They told us not to paint the room pink but we could buy a few clothes and leave the tags on. haha. AHHH! We're beside ourselves. We have another ultrasound December 15th to confirm but since I've known ALL along you were a girl, this was all the confirmation I needed!

Your daddy and I had already decided your name would be Avery but today we picked a middle name. Your beautiful little self will be named Avery Madison Wise. You're 3 inches long and you like to stretch! I can already tell you're going to be a booger in the 3rd trimester! You would scrunch up really small then throw your arms and legs out like a star. This could have been because you were sleeping soundly and the ultrasound tech had to poke you to get you to move around. Sorry baby! We needed to see your other arm! Your heart still sounds like a bunch of horses and was 157 bpm today.

Here are some adorable pictures of you!

Profile:

More profile shots: Look at that nice nose bone which means you're VERY unlikely to have down syndrome. YAY!
Hi mom!
The ultrasound tech also took a picture of your face but it's scary looking. It's of your bones and you look like a Halloween skeleton so we'll skip posting that one :) I like to think of you as chubby and sweet!

We love you to God's house and back, Avery Madison Wise!

Disclaimer: If you're a boy... SORRY! We love you equally as much and I'm sure I'll spend a lifetime making these next 6 weeks of me declaring you're a girl up to you. There's always that 10%....

CHEESECAKE

C.H.E.E.S.E.C.A.K.E
I'm not a huge cheesecake eater but I must have one... right now. New York Style. With Strawberries. Lots of them. DANNNIIIEEEEEEEELLLLLLLLLLLLLL....... 8:15pm Harris Teeter run? That's not too much to ask right?

If I eat this cheesecake,  I will have a baby bump picture to show soon! Or would it be more considered baby craving fat rolls?

12 weeks!

You're 12 weeks old now! This was a big week for me because I decided a while back that at 12 weeks along, I was no longer allowed to worry about you. Previously, we've been optimistically thrilled about you but there was always the thought in the back of my mind that we could loose you. I know SOO many people who have miscarried and the thought of that possibility makes me cry. Now that you're 12 weeks (a date that the chances of loosing you drops dramatically) I WILL stop worrying and start being 100% excited with no "buts." Satan must have known I set 12 weeks as my "stop worrying date" because I had the WORST nightmare the exact date (at almost midnight!) that you turned 12 weeks. I woke up in tears and so scared! Too bad for him that "in the name of Jesus" he was demanded to leave my thoughts and we went right back to sleep!

Still no belly pictures this week because there just isn't one. Some pants are getting a little snug but not even enough for anyone but me to notice. We go for an ultrasound on Thursday and I'm SOO excited! Because I'm high risk, the doctors wanted to do some non invasive testing which includes an ultrasound so I'm super thrilled! I'm HOPING that just maybe we'll get to see what gender you are. It's a long shot but I know some friends who have found out at 13 weeks! :)

Speaking of gender... I'm a sucker for guessing what/who you might be so I wasted $30 on one of those urine gender test. According to the test you're both a girl and a boy. haha. I was certain the test showed girl but your dad showed me from a different angle that the test showed boy. We kept moving the test to different light angles. I think it was slightly more girl but it was still definitely inconclusive. Oh well. $30 not so well spent but it was a fun 10 minutes.

Yesterday was Halloween. I kept thinking that next year I'll have a 2 1/2 year old and a 6 month old! How fun!!!!!

Now that we're 12 weeks, I'll start doing some updates in the Q&A format.  Here's our 1st one!

How far along: 12 weeks, 1 day
Total weight gain/loss: 1 1/2 pounds but I feel like it looks like more.
Maternity clothes: Not yet but I did wash all of mine and add a piece or 2 recently
Sleep: I usually wake up once a night to potty in addition to any time Parker wakes me up.
Best moment this week: Hitting the 12 week, no more worrying mark!
Movement: Apparently you're moving a lot according to "the books" but I can't feel it yet.
Cravings: I'm loving cold fruit and soups!
Gender: I think girl... but I'm starting to waiver more recently
Labor Signs: No. Thank the Lord!
Belly Button in our out? In!
What I miss:I'm not going to lie. I miss margaritas and wine at night after Parker is asleep!
What am I looking forward to? Seeing you Thursday. You'll look more human and less blobish.
Milestones: Hitting the "stop worrying" mark!!!
